A Pair of African Chairs

A pair of wooden armchairs by the Fon People of the Republic of Benin (formerly the Kingdom of Dahomey), c.1950.

Each armchair carved out of one single piece of wood, with stylised birds and lions. Some chipping and splitting but structurally sound.
